Main Objectives: The project's main objectives are the production of knowledge that can contribute to the debate concerning heritage of Portuguese origin / influence in the region of Mumbai and access how that same heritage can enrich the cultural diversity of Mumbai's inhabitants, by addressing and sharing issues related to its conservation. The project will also address the issues of the role that the East-Indian community have in the Mumbai and the community's relation to the referred heritage. Two main tasks are proposed in order to achieve these objectives. The first task will be the organisation of an event based in KRVIA, one of the most prestigious architecture colleges in the Mumbai region and the one most committed to the city's architectural history. This event will be center on specific religious structures and landscapes of Mumbai pertaining to the East-Indian community. The second task is the publication of two articles in peer-reviewed journals about Mumbai's heritage of Portuguese origin / influence.
